We’ve heard the idea that Google is considering stepping into the mobile phone market. Now it looks like they want to take that idea to the next step and begin working on conceptual ideas. This stems from a recent job opening posted on Google’s website.
The position was described as part of a team working to make the “world’s information accessible anywhere for free.†It would only make sense for the number one search engine to find new ways for users to access their site. Plus, Apple has already shown that with an established name and customer base, you can create enough hype to fuel a product launch.
The requirements for the position include Logic and Analog designing, extensive circuit modeling and analysis experience, programming skills, and a ham radio license. I look forward to seeing what Google can do. I think that if they really wanted to, they could come up with something to rival the next generation iPhones.
