Seeing the amount of space dedicated to poorly impuning some random guy's character was more than a bit embarrassing to read. Instead of wasting time complaining about stuff that will continue to happen... post news about the latest study released, Apple financial results, or any number of useful topics. I feel bad for anyone that actually thought this WASN'T a web-based application. This is the HOLDING PATTERN people. Google has a collection of customizeable web-apps for people's personalized homepage. This "web app" clearly looked to be the same thing to me, especially if there isn't a joint release with Apple. I only glanced the Gizmodo article and made a quick assumption before moving on. Reading this article going on and on and on about how this guy "deceived" people is really ridiculous. For instance... heard about the Deeda Pi phone? I know exactly what this is just by looking at it. FAKE. Hopefully lessons learned. Yipes.
