A new report from AdMob has been issued that shows the iPhone and Android are dominating the mobile web. The iPhone now serves 50% of all requests to the mobile web.

Yahoo has launched two new apps for the iPhone this week. The apps include one for finding restaurants that lets you draw a circle on the map and find all eateries in the area. The other app uses voice commands to conduct searches.

The iPhone, Safari and IE8 were all nailed with security holes during the Pwn2Own hacking contest. The hackers created a website for the iPhone that pulled the devices SMS database out when the user surfed the page.

Yahoo unveiled a new homepage for the iPhone’s Safari browser and invites you to sync the modules (“My Favorites”) between the PC and your iPhone. It allows user to sync changes on the iPhone’s newly design site, and vice versa.

iPhone users can view the new home page at m.yahoo.com, which comes up with three tabs: “Today”, “My Favorites” and “All Sites”. These include Yahoo Finance, eBay, Facebook, MySpace, Maps, Messenger, and so on.

According to CNET, Yahoo is now prepping the native iPhone app of this sync functionality. [I hope Apple will not then remove it from App Store, due to "duplicating features that the iPhone comes with..." LOL!]

The Web giant claims one out of every two mobile users views its home page, and has 34 million unique users per month, according to recent Comscore data.
