Services like Vonage are cheaper than most traditional phone plans, especially for those who call outside of the US frequently.

Vonage has announced that Apple has approved its mobile app for the iPhone. Vonage says its mobile app is currently in beta testing and will be offered for general availability at a later date.

I have to wonder how AT&T will feel about that, if Apple blocked Google Voice it seems like they would want to block Vonage too. Perhaps the FCC inquiry put the company under enough pressure to approve the app.
