Unsubsidized iPhone 3G price revealed, sort of

It has been revealed the prices that Vodafone in Italy will sell the iPhone 3G for without a new agreement. According to the Vodafone Italy iPhone 3G web site, the device will sell for €499/€569 ($773/$881) for the 8GB/16GB models. This is quite a price for sure, but according to some sources this is not that bad of a price in the Italian smart phone market. continued »

Vodafone secure ten market iPhone deal for later in 2008

Vodafone have issued a short press release confirming that they will be selling the iPhone in ten markets later on this year.  These will include Australia, the Czech Republic, Egypt, Greece, Italy, India, Portugal, New Zealand, South Africa and Turkey.  Previous sources had tipped the Indian deal, but this is a significant step for the carrier overall. continued »

Indian iPhone rumored for September Vodafone launch

Business Standard is reporting that Apple will launch the iPhone in India come September this year.  Quoting "Apple retail sources", the paper suggests that an exclusive deal for the handset is under discussion, and that the 8GB version will be priced at Rs. 27000-28000 ($680-700).  No details on contract obligation have been suggested. continued »

Latest 3G iPhone rumor: Vodafone sign exclusive Euro deal

Another day, another 3G iPhone rumor; this time it's that Vodafone will be simultaneously launching a 3G version of Apple's cellphone in all its European markets come next Spring.  The story, reported by Italian site Morse.IT, claims a UMTS version of the iPhone will be announced after Christmas (or possibly at the MacWorld Expo early next year) in order not to cannibalise 2.5G version sales over the holidays.  continued »

European carrier already vying for 3G iPhone deal?

Is Vodafone really that cocky that they’d already start talking about negotiations for a deal with Apple upon the release of a 3G version? Well I guess they are as their CEO is quoted saying they would “absolutely” deal with Apple to carry the 3G version of the handset. Samsung F700 gets a carrier and a new name

The Samsung F700, now known as the Croix, thanks to a deal with Vodafone is quite the amazing device. It is purported to be targeted as an iPhone competitor, even though the Croix is everything the iPhone isn’t.
