If you dropped your $120 on the TomTom car kit in the months since it launched and have now upgraded to an iPhone 4 you may have noticed the new device doesn’t fit. TomTom is offering a new adapter for the iPhone 4 free to buyers to make the iPhone 4 fit and new car kits ship with the adapter in the box.

The old Apple Newton has been given a new life by an enterprising geek as a case for the iPhone. The hack seems to have gutted the Newton and the iPhone slips inside making the Newton much more than it ever was before.

If you have been waiting for the latest version of iOS to hit iTunes, your wait is over. As of yesterday, you can download iOS 4.1 on iTunes so go get it now.

We always want more storage capacity in our iPhones, what seems like a ton when you buy the device quickly fills up with apps and music. Samsung has unveiled some new high-density NAND chips of 64GB that will be perfect for the iPhone.

There really are apps for everything you know, and some of it is odd. IKEA has a new app for shoppers that want to browse the furniture store catalog for 2010. It seems odd to look for furniture on the iPhone honestly.

The TomTom iPhone app was honestly pretty cool, but it was too expensive for most of us to consider. The app has had its price slashed to a more affordable level with a new price of $49.99, much better than the nearly $120 TomTom wanted to start with.

Apple has been catching a lot of flack for its arduous process of approving applications for the iPhone. Apple has announced a new app status tracker for developers so they can see where in the process their app is.

In the UK O2 and Orange are now both offering the iPhone leading many to wonder if sales would be harmed on either network. O2 is reporting that its sales have remained steady since Orange started offering the iPhone. This suggests that eliminating exclusive deals may not hurt the original provider.

TomTom’s iPhone navigation app has drawn criticism from some users for being expensive and lacking features like text-to-speech that others offer. TomTom is set to release a new update that adds the text-to-speech functionality. The update also adds the ability to control iPod music from within the app.

TomTom officially launched the iPhone Car Kit in the US Apple Store Today. If you want, your own dedicated speaker/windshield mount/GPS antenna for your iPhone the kit will set you back about $200 and ship in a few weeks.

A sexy iPhone concept has turned up that borrows from the styling of the iMac AIO systems. Looking at the concept I certainly like it more than my white iPhone 3GS style.

When those Droid commercials taking pot shots at the iPhone first surfaced, I figured that any chance of the iPhone hitting Verizon was slim. Apparently, Verizon still wants to sell the iPhone and CEO Ivan Seidenburg told analysts that it is just waiting on word from Apple.

China Unicom hopes to steal rival China Mobile’s gray market iPhone users by offering users on its network the ability to buy a service contract with the phone. The gray market iPhones are still much cheaper than the official versions of the scheme isn’t likely to pay off.
