Apple and Samsung have been embroiled in a patent infringement battle around the world. Reports indicate Samsung is now facing a potential $15 billion fine from the European Commission for its attempt to get certain Apple products banned in Europe.

A new project has landed on Kickstarter with the goal of creating a guitar that allows the user to learn to play using the iPhone. The device is called the gTar and has an iPhone dock on the body and app control LEDs along the fretboard to show learning players where to place their fingers.

AT&T recently announced that it would unlock off contract iPhones. This could be a big deal for T-Mobile since it already has 1 million iPhones on its network even though the devices run at slower speeds for data networks.

A new and awesome new iPhone dock has shown up on Kickstarter and just blown up. The dock is called the Elevation Dock and it scored its $75,000 in funding in the first 8 hours and continues to get money. The dock is made to stay in place and be east to put your iPhone in and out of.

Apple has started to sell the iPhone 4 in the US as an unlocked device. The phone is very far from cheap though at $649 and it will only run with supported GSM carriers.
