Stir, another iPhone FriendFeed client

Are you a big fan of FriendFeed? You can use the newly released Stir [iTunes link], a new FriendFeed app for your iPhone. It’s available on the App Store now, priced at $2.99. Another choice besides BuddyFeed.

According to Patrickj of Just Another iPhone Blog:

Your own main timeline – which for some reason is placed below a general ‘Everyone’ view on the main sections page of the app – offers a good summary view of posts from people you subscribe to, as shown in the screencap at the top of this post. As you browse this view, you can easily use one tap on the main body of a post of interest to jump to that individual post, or tap the blue arrow at the right of a post to view it in an inline browser.

What?! Dunkin’ Donuts’ iPhone app?

Yeah. Dunkin’ Donuts have released Dunkin’ Run [iTunes link], a free app for the iPhone and iPod touch, allowing their customers to make group orders. “Do you and your friends need to fuel up with Dunkin’ Donuts coffee? Be the hero,” their companion website says.

Here’s how it works [taken from their website]:

Invite: Start a run at DunkinRun.com from your computer, mobile device, or our iPhone application . You are now “the runner”, and pick which friends you’d like to invite by providing their email or mobile phone number (no spaces or dashes e.g. 1234567890).

Order: Select what you want from the menu, and we’ll contact your friends and tell them to do the same.

Run: Go get the goods. We’ll compile all orders for you, and you can print it out or have it sent to your mobile device (if you print it, just hand the print out to the Dunkin’ crew member at the shop and they’ll take it from there).

Enjoy! Bring the goodies back, and enjoy the deliciousness, along with the hero worship from your friends.

GyPSii arrives on the iPhone

The location-aware, mobile social network application GyPSii has launched its free iPhone application [iTunes link] today. It allows users to create and share “geotagged” content in real time with friends.

GyPSii delivers an all-in-one mobile social networking experience. It allows people to instantly capture and share what they are actually doing, building a multi-media virtual diary on their world – the places they have been and the things that they have done.

GyPSii users can automatically update their status across other social networks such as Twitter and Facebook via the GyPSii Connect service.

The launch of our iPhone app, according to Shane Lennon, SVP Product Management and Marketing at GyPSii, also marks the launch of the company’s next generation of user experience (UX).

The GyPSii iPhone application is currently available in English and Chinese.
