If you are the sort of geek that likes to make all sorts of DIY projects using your iPhone and Arduino Make has a new kit for you. The kit includes a cable that connects the iPhone to any serial device without having to jailbreak and more.

Scosche has unveiled a new cable for the iPhone that is called the sneakPEEK auto in car AV cable. The cable is 9-feet long and will charge your iPhone while it plays your streaming media on the in-car screen using RCA inputs.

Google’s Eric Schmidt says that all of Apple’s lawsuits are prompted by jealousy. Schmidt goes on to say the suits are also prompted by an innovation shortfall at Apple. Sounds like 8th grade to me.

If you are looking for a portable battery to power your iPhone on the go Scosche has announced that it is now shipping the goBAT II. The battery is 5000mAh and will charge the iPhone more than twice fully.

Apple has announced that it is thinking of making the length of time your iPhone will remember your iTunes password shorter. The idea is to shorten the time to prevent the number of accidental purchases; this is a big deal for in-app purchases.

The NYT has written a story citing sources that claim the next iPhone will be cheaper, but the screen will not be smaller. We have been hearing rumors of a smaller and cheaper screen iPhone coming soon.

Scosche flipSYNC II for iPhone, AT&T shipped 4.1M iPhones, Motorola sales dip on iPhone anticipation

Scosche unveiled the new flipSYNC II at CES a few weeks back. It has announced that the iPhone and iPad specific version of the cable is now available for about $20; the new versions have full size connectors.

AT&T has unveiled that it has had 4.1 million iPhones activated in Q4 2010. It also noted that 442,000 iPads and other tablets were activated as well.

Motorola has acknowledged that its sales have slumped. The slump is in anticipation of the iPhone hitting Verizon and started in December before the official announcement was made.

Steve Jobs has been confirmed as the keynote giver for WWDC 2010 kicking off on June 7. That clears the way for Steve to pull the new iPhone out of his pocket.

Powermat has unveiled a new wireless charging kit for the iPhone 3G/3GS. The kit includes the case, Powermat, and the AC adapter for about $70.

Scosche has started shipping the cool keychain mounted flipSYNC USB cable. The device fits on a key ring and can be had in a version to charge and sync the iPhone.

Scosche makes all manner of gear to keep your Apple gadgets charged up. The company has a couple new chargers with one for the car and the other for the home that charge the iPhone and iPad at the same time.

InfoWorld has a piece up on the new iPhone outrage by AT&T and the author has hit on exactly how I feel about Femtocells. AT&T is offering the femtocell as a way give users better connections in homes and offices, which we should already get. The catch is you have to buy the femtocell and pay monthly, which is paying twice for decent service.

A teardown of the iPad by iSuppli has found that the iPad is les profitable for Apple than the iPhone. I guess that makes sense considering that Apple has had years to tweak the iPhone for maximum profit and performance.

Scosche Industries announced their passPORT iPod/iPhone car integration system, today and it is truly intended to make your portable devices even more functional. How so, you might be wondering? It actually charges your iPhone 3G, iPod nano 4G and touch 2G in your car.

The adapter attaches to any in-car iPod integration system, making all iPhone and iPod models compatible. This way, you can listen to your iPod in the car and charge it at the same time. That’s pretty convenient, if you ask me.
