Zero1.tv offers a new universal remote control for the iPhone called the VooMote One. It’s much like all the others on the market except you can make your own screen with controls for multiple devices on the same screen.

Twilio has unveiled a new iPhone client that will allow VoIP to be added to just about anything. The only catch is that the client costs money for calls.

The AviiQ Portable Charging Station has now launched and it has a three-port USB charger inside the zipper case. The case can charge your iPhone, iPad and another USB device at one time.

Griffin and Dijit have teamed up to offer a new hardware and app solution for the iPhone and other iOS gear for making it a universal remote called Beacon. The hardware is an AA battery powered tabletop device and the app allows for activities and more for full control of TVs and DVRs.

A publisher in NYC has filed a trademark infringement suit against Apple over ibooks. The publisher says that Apple owns IBOOK trademark but when it began using iBooks for the digital books on iPhone and iPad Apple went over the line.

PhotoFast has debuted a cool flash drive that works with an app to let the user of an iOS device move files. The i-FlashDrive needs no computer to move the files.

iPhone Universal Remote Case, Unioo backup batteries, and iPhone card scanner

We all need extra power for our iPhone at one time or another and if you play lots of games, that need probably comes frequently. A company called Unioo has unveiled three new batteries and two of them connect to the charge connector on the iPhone.

A company called Power A has offered up a new Universal Remote Case for the iPhone that works with a free app to turn the iPhone into a remote control. The system lets the iPhone control any IR device.

Macworld is looking at several apps that the business user with an iPhone will want to check out. The four apps are all business card scanners to save you from typing in contacts.

iLuv App Station alarm clock, L5 remote dongle, and BMW M power app

iPod and iPhone speaker docks are nothing new there are tons on the market. A new device from iLuv called the App Station works in conjunction with an app that lets the iPhone be the display for the alarm clock.

If you always have your iPhone on you and like the app that lets you control you Apple TV a new hardware accessory called the L5 Remote dongle may be perfect for you. The dongle turns your iPhone into a universal remote control.

BMW has unveiled a new app for the iPhone called the M Power application. The app measures speed, g-forces, and acceleration times. The app is free to download and will work with any vehicle.

Nikon DSLR camera remote app gets updated

One of the things that I have always meant to get for my Nikon D80 DSLR was a remote shutter release. It’s impossible to take any shots in the dark without a remote or resorting to using the timer to trigger the shutter.

The Nikon remote sells for about $20 and I can’t find one locally. OnOne Software has a new app that is perfect for the DSLR user who wants a remote called DSLR Camera Remote v1.1. The app promises support for Nikon DSLRs and for the Canon T1i/500D.

Two versions are available; the pro edition sells for $19.99 and lets you trigger autofocus while viewing the live view from the LCD and it supports auto bracketing. The lite edition is only $1.99 and simply activates the shutter, which is all I want. The app is available on the app store now.
