They have just announced that they have decided to bring it to the next level and offer video among other things on their m.flickr.com mobile site for iPhone and iPod Touch users.

With the iPhone and iPod Touch being the only who devices that are able to play videos, Flickr plans on implementing this feature into other mobile devices in the future. It works by plying videos with Quicktime, avoiding the need for Flash support entirely.

You can also comment on photos or even save the to you’re your favorites list if you wish. This site still works at a very fast pace, as you would normally expect it to work. It appears that iPhone users are not the only ones who are very impatiently waiting for the Flash. Lets just hope that many other companies decide to work around the problem.

iTunes gets bumped to version 7.5 and QuickTime gets up to version 7.3. Neither include anything major, the QuickTime update just makes it compatible with the new version of iTunes and has some bug fixes.

iTunes adds the ability to activate the iPhone in more locations than just the US. There is also a new interactive music game that only works with new Nano, the iPod Classic, and the 5G iPod, its called Phase. There are also some bug fixes for iTunes included.

Other than that, there is better support for making mobile Safari compatible web content and bet JavaScript support for the QuickTime Web plugin. That’s pretty much it, not much else to report here.
