PwnageTool 2.0.2 To Be Released Very Soon

It looks like those anxious to really crack into their iPhones won't have to wait much longer. The DevTeam announced yesterday that PwnageTool 2.0.2 will be released very soon. Like, I'm talking today soon.

Pwnage Tool 2.0 is officially available for you to download and jailbreak the iPhone 3G as well as the original iPhone running iPhone OS 2.0. iPhone Dev Team still unable to unlock iPhone 3G

While it have successfully jailbroken the 3G iPhone, the iPhone Dev team has yet able to unlock the newly launched phone. This puts more delay on the new Pwnage tools that many people has been waiting for.

Cast aside all doubts: the iPhone Dev Team have released a video demonstrating them unlocking and Jailbreaking the iPhone 2.0 firmware with their new PwnageTool 2.0.

It has been an interesting week. This week has not been as fast paced for rumors as usual, as it seems that things have slowed down, as people are now waiting it silence for June 9th. Though the rumors are not much in volume, they more than make up for it in how interesting they are.

Windows Pwnage tool now official

Windows users have practically been given the cold shoulder when it comes to Pwning their iPhone. The WinPwn project launched to try and help out, by porting the Pwnage tool to Windows, which up until now has been a Mac only affair. The beta for WinPwn launched last month, with a final version promised in the next few days.

Pwnage tool for Windows launches in beta form

The now infamous Pwnage tool has been enjoying making it's way around the mac for some time now. Many people have already taken advantage of this great application on their Mac, and done some serious iPhone pwning. Until now, Windows users that do not have access to a Mac have been out of luck, but that is about to change.

How to setup Exchange on iPhone 2.0 Beta 3

Apple made a couple of changes to the Exchange configuration interface on iPhone 2.0 Beta 3. You can no longer enter a host name. Update to the Pwnage Tool coming soon

The iPhone Dev Team discovered the “BRICKED_AND_LOCKED_SIM_STRING” hidden in the latest firmware that suggests the handset could seize up should an unlocking attempt be made. Lucky for us, the firmware never stays closed long, thanks to the Dev Team. Apple is always patching exploits that the Dev Team uses to get in.

Apple Release new build of iPhone SDK and iPhone OS 2.0 5A240d to developers

Mac OS X version of “Pwnage Tool” has been delayed until sometime next week. Apparently, legal inquiries were made to the DevTeam about the validity and legality of the contents of the tools. The PWN, which is publicaly available later today, Sunday March 30th, allows you to flash custom unsigned firmware onto the iPhone or iPod touch.
