A new app called Trafficmaster is now available that lets the user pay for navigation routes only when they need them, alas it’s only in the UK now.

A company called Muzatch has unveiled a solar charger for the iPhone that is ugly. It has a 1000mAh battery inside and can charge the iPhone half way before running out of juice itself.

The WSJ has a new story up talking about iPhone use at Microsoft. Apparently, the use of the iPhone isn’t forbidden, but employees often hide the use around executives. The story also claims that 10% of Microsoft global workforce uses the iPhone to access company email.

There are plenty of iPhone applications available that give you maps and direction to get to places you want to go like convention centers and malls. Once you get there, there isn’t really an app to help you get around.

Micello is set to unveil its new iPhone app today that is designed to help you navigate inside buildings once you get there. The app has maps of shopping centers, colleges, convention centers and more. Using the iPhone users can navigate around these places with ease.

I wish this were available the last time I went to CES; I may not have spent so much time lost. Few details are available on the app at this time, but it is set to be unveiled very soon.

NAVIGON announced today that it has added new features to its iPhone navigation application. This is the second free update for the nav app for North American users since the application launched.

The update adds a new text-to-speech function to allow the voice prompts to read street names and turn-by-turn directions. The app will now say “turn right on main street” rather than just saying “turn right.”

The update also adds a location sharing function to make meet ups with friends and family easy to coordinate. Users can now also get one click access from within the nav app to their music lists so they can navigate and listen to music at once.
