Remember that article that we published yesterday about the words “my iPhone” showing up when writing an email? We managed to track down exactly where that came from.

If you go to Apple’s website and click on the iPhone tab at the top, you’ll see the Features Overview. Click on the one that says “Internet in your Pocket.” On the next screen click on “Mail” and watch carefully.

You’ll notice that each time an email is composed, the words “Sent from my iPhone” appear at the bottom of the email. It is hard to tell from just watching a video, but it looks like that phrase will in fact be at the bottom of every email sent from an iPhone. Anyone out there with an iPhone want to confirm that for me? Didn’t think so.

Here’s something very interesting. Maybe there was something more behind Jobs advising us to change our domain from MYiPhone.

From the picture it clearly says at the bottom “Sent from my iPhone.” My iPhone, that sure sounds familiar. It would have us assume that this is a tag line that is sent with every email, similar to when you send something through Yahoo! or Hotmail that tells you where the email came from.

If this holds true, then we are all quite relieved that we decided to go ahead and switch to a new domain. Apple would have fought hard to shut us down. Though as Vincent said yesterday, there’s still a good chance that they’ll go after some of the big sites that use iPhone in their names. We’ll let you know when we confirm this.

MYiPhone will be attending Apple’s WWDC

Our own Vincent who just got back from his trip to the D5 show has just received his confirmation that he will be attending the upcoming WWDC. So you can bet if Steve decides to announce the iPhone there, we’ll be the first to cover it.

The show will run from June 11 to June 15 and feature an in-depth look at Leopard and over 150 different sessions and labs based around the upcoming OS.

Our confirmation of attendance to the WWDC lends a lot of credibility to thoughts and rumors that they will be announcing, if not launching the iPhone during the show. Why else would they invite the Executive Editor of an iPhone community site?
