iPhone Buzz Week in Review - Week 32 2008

A lot of iPhone news this week, folks, so let's jump right in. First up, the App Store was repeatedly in focus as various apps were pulled. Box Office, the app that let you check movies times from your iPhone was pulled, then the ridiculous I Am Rich app was yanked. ‘I Am Rich’ App Had 8 Takers

That iPhone app "I Am Rich," which has been removed from the App Store, actually sold a few copies. I'm not just talking about one or two gullible people. Eight different people downloaded the app. What did they do? See the $999 price tag and think "Hmm, I wonder what happens when I press 'Buy'?"  Okay, maybe I'm being too harsh. ‘I Am Rich’ App Pulled from App Store

Looks like another app bites the dust, but this time, I say good riddance!  It was called "I Am Rich" and it professed to be, well, the app for rich people. It cost $999 and it did, admittedly, nothing at all! No reviewers were willing to shell out the thousand to get a real look at this app (and rightfully so) but it supposedly provided you with a mantra to stay ... continued »
