The iShuttr case will turn your iPhone into a point and shoot camera. The case has a shutter button, internal battery, and a bright flash. The case is seeking funding right now on Kickstarter.

AT&T has been dropping hints that shared data plans might be in the near future. AT&T CEO would not elaborate on the timeline for the shared plan.

The Apple App store is said to be far friendlier for paid apps than the Android Market. Apparently, iPhone users are much more likely to buy apps than Android users are.

More rumors are surfacing about the next iPhone. OmniVision is the supplier for camera sensors for Apple and has hinted that the camera in the next version will be an 8MP unit.

Square has announced that at some point this summer it will be releasing a new version of its card reader for the iPhone. The new reader will encrypt the credit card data at the point the card is scanned.

A couple geeks have hacked the Kinect controller to use an iPhone to. The combination of the iPhone control and the Kinect makes for an interesting mix.

An interesting if a bit strange design concept surfaced that wraps the iPhone into a Leica camera design. The concept isn’t official from Apple or Leica, but it is cool nonetheless.

A prototype white iPhone 4 has landed on eBay. I can only imagine the auction will be short lived since Apple will surely end it once they see the thing. The iPhone is up to nearly $3,000 at this point.

iASUS has unveiled a new mic for the iPhone and any other 3.5mm input device that is perfect for owners of convertible vehicles. The NT3 is a throat mic that picks up vibrations from speaking and ignores wind noise.

Sources are claiming that Apple has ordered as many as 15 million CDMA iPhones for 2011. The source claims that strong demand has seen Apple up the number from the 10M that it was going to order previously.

Dexim has unveiled a new battery case for the iPhone 4 called the Super-Juice. The case promises 40 more hours of music, and six more hours of talk or gaming.

A rumor going around says that a new camera sensor from OmniVision is headed to the next iteration of the iPhone. The new sensor has 8MP resolution, but it takes more than megapixels to make a good camera phone.

Apple has acquired Siri, the company behind the personal assistant app for the iPhone. Terms of the purchase are unknown at this time.

Reports are coming in that the next iPhone will use a camera from LG Innotek rather than the rumored OmniVision camera. The LG Innotek snapper is said to be a 5MP.

Adobe has announced that 7 million users of the iPhone want Flash on their device. Adobe says the 7m users tried to download Flash for iPhone by December 2009.

I have often complained that the camera on the iPhone isn’t that great, but maybe it’s just that I can’t take pictures. A new photo exhibition has opened with photos all taken from the iPhone and only edited using software available on the iPhone and they look great.

According to the report, OmniVision will also be supplying Apple with a 5-megapixel CMOS image sensor for use in a product set for release later in 2009.  No details have been given about the nature of this product, which could be a further iPhone iteration or the much-rumored Apple MID.

The report is, obviously, uncorroborated by Apple themselves, and as with any iPhone supplier rumor should be taken with a pinch of salt.  However it is fair to assume that the camera will be one of the main areas of change for the next-gen iPhone, which is expected to be announced in June this year.

The new version includes bulk uploading, photo and video slideshow with music, image stabilization, photo editing, and offline access activities (such as viewing albums, image editing, and taking photos).

Basically,  the company offers 1GB of free storage, but if you need an unlimited storage, you can purchase it with $54.95/year through Apple’s App Store.

According to the company’s site, the application made the top 100 paid Photography applications on its first day without press or marketing, then climbed to number 42 on the second day. “We can’t wait to see where TheSnapper goes today on the iTunes’ charts,” said Rama McIntosh, the CEO and co-founder of Meme Incorporated.

USB Fever is now offering three tiny magnetic lenses that do not and unnecessary bulk that is hard to put on and remove. One lens is a wide-angle lens, the second a telephoto and the last a fish-eye lens.  All of which magnetically cling to a supplied self-adhesive metallic ring.

As it turns out, the girl was not fired. In fact, a Foxconn representative has since told a Chinese newspaper that “she is definitely not fired” and that the photos found on the new phone were actually just test photos. Normally, these photos are deleted but it seems in this case they were “accidentally” left on the phone.

So there you have it. factory worker girl is fine and the person who bought the iPhone that contained the photos has a funny story to tell.

Shortly thereafter, the iPhone 2.0.2 update was released with hopes to provide numerous bug fixes and clear up some of those reception problems. We also posted a side-by-side comparison video of the iPhone 2.0.1 and 2.0.2 software, of which it would seem the update really produced a speed boost. Jobs also admitted to the numerous third-party app crashes users are experiencing and promised a fix for those as well.

On the business side of things, Apple seems to be geared up to produce 40 million iPhones next year. Plus, the iPhone is set to release in Turkey from Turkcell and in Russia in October. It was also determined that if you have a jailbroken iPhone, you can “kill” the kill switch fairly easily.

We had several fun things of note this week as well, including two reviews of free apps like PapiJump and Tris. We got a look at the Nike+ app, however it seems the screenshots may have been fakes.

A video demo showed up online of Real Racing, which is a networked multiplayer game for the iPhone. An app that simulates a hologram is also supposedly in the works. You can get your hands on a Mobile Phone Telescope for your iPhone as well, though it seems to be intended for paparazzi looking to get off a couple of quick photos.
