A new patent app has surfaced that shows something interesting Apple has planned for the future. The patent outlines a way for the user to zoom in on a specific part of a photo or page in one motion.

Apple was able to close an exploit that left iPhone users vulnerable to Trojans. This is presumably the patch for the issue raised by Charlie Miller that saw him tossed out of the dev program.

There are new ads ready to start circulating for the iPhone 4S touting specific features. The first of the ads will highlight iCloud and the camera of the new iPhone.

A rumor going around says that a new camera sensor from OmniVision is headed to the next iteration of the iPhone. The new sensor has 8MP resolution, but it takes more than megapixels to make a good camera phone.

Cooler Master has unveiled a new external battery pack with a 5.5Whr battery that will charge the iPhone and other USB devices called the Choiix Power Fort. The battery promises up to six hours more run time for smartphones and the USB port on the battery is a 1A model.

Images of what is supposed to be the CDMA iPhone 3,2 N92 prototype have surfaced. This is the phone that is supposed to be for the Verizon network and it looks just like the other iPhone visually from what you can see in the photo.

Motorola has sued Apple for patent infringement in the Northern District of Illinois and in the Southern District of Florida. The suit covers 18 different patents over just about all the tech inside the iPhone.

Altec Lansing has debuted Octiv Duo speaker dock for iPhone and iPods with two docks to charge two devices at the same time. This is a good thing for homes like mine where there are multiple iPhones.

Altec Lansing also pulled the wraps off a new set of earphones aimed at the audiophile that will work with the iPhone. The earphones are called the Muzx Ultra and have an iPhone remote built-in along with a mic.

A company called Power A has offered up a new Universal Remote Case for the iPhone that works with a free app to turn the iPhone into a remote control. The system lets the iPhone control any IR device.

Macworld is looking at several apps that the business user with an iPhone will want to check out. The four apps are all business card scanners to save you from typing in contacts.

Dexim has announced three new iPhone docks today that include the P-Flip Foldable Power Dock, the Rechargeable Power Stand, and the 2x Foldable Power Dock. Each of the devices has a 2000mAh battery inside for more run time.

The stands promise 8 hours more talk, 15 hours more gaming, and 80 more hours of music. The Rechargeable Power Stand will be a Brookstone exclusive and the 2x foldable Power dock has an output to share the battery power with another device. Pricing is unknown.

“If people are committing $1,000 a year for two years to use a 3GS, I would definitely expect my battery to last a lot longer,” said Ng, a loyal Apple fan who runs an iPhone blog from his home in Vancouver, Canada.

According to IFixit.com, repairing company which specializes in Apple products, the 3GS’s battery life was about 15% smaller than the original iPhone. But Apple spokeswoman Natalie Harrison emphasized, battery consumption is highly dependent on what applications and features are used.
