Sony RDP-X500IP dock, Bose SoundLink portable, iPhone 5 delay

Sony has unveiled a new speaker dock today that is designed specifically for the iPhone and dockable iPods. The device will sell for right under $300 with shipping set to start October 2. Sony promises deep bass and good sound from the device.

Bose has unveiled a new portable speaker that is made to work with the iPhone and other Bluetooth devices called the SoundLink Wireless mobile speaker. The speaker is about the size of a book and turns on and off automatically with the open and close of the stand.

A rumor claims that iPhone 5 production is delayed. Another rumor claims that the delay could mean the launch of a cheap iPhone 4S.

Outdoors types that want a rugged set of wireless earphones for the iPhone that use Bluetooth need to check these out new ones from Outdoor Technology out. The OT Tags are stereo earbuds for music and have a mic for making and receiving calls.

A rumor has surfaced that Apple has delayed the LTE 4G version of the iPhone to 2012. Analyst Sam Greenholtz claims that the iPhone 5 landing this summer will not get LTE support according to his sources.

The new subscription policies on iTunes have Amazon looking for work arounds for its Kindle app. The answer by Amazon rather than lose an estimated $160 million yearly is to design a Kindle for the Web app that iPhone users can take advantage of.

Soundmatters foxLv2 speaker, MasterCard mobile payments, Rhapsody objects to subscription requirements

Soundmatters has unveiled a new Bluetooth speaker called the foxLv2 that was designed with the iPhone 4 in mind. The speaker is battery powered with 8-hours of music per charge and uses Bluetooth for connectivity. It also has a mic for speakerphone use.

MasterCard is working to put its NFC payment tech inside the iCarte accessory for the iPhone. The accessory will allow for contactless mobile payments using the iPhone.

Rhapsody has objected to the new subscription rules that Apple has instigated. Rhapsody says that it might even take legal action against the rules that say subscription providers have to fork over 30% of their revenue.

Ipadio [iTunes link] launched its iPhone app recently, allowing iPhone owners to broadcast, record, play back and share high quality audio up to 60 minutes in length.

Creative introduces its EP-630i headset for iPhone and iPod, an in-ear buds that comes with three different silicone covers.

With three different silicon covers, consumer can find the best fit for their ears. It features a 9mm Neodymium magnet on each ear bud, gold plated 3.5mm 4-pole plug, and Y-config cord that is four feet long.

The Creative EP-630i headset will be available in Singapore on September of 2008 and it carries the price tag of $59. US market will be seeing this headset shortly after.
