Apple AppStore icon trademarked

by Chris Davies on April 9, 2008

Soon to find its way to your iPhone homescreen, the AppStore logo is the subject of Apple's latest venture through the US Patent and Trademark Office, highlighting once again the Cupertino company's strong-handed control of each element that makes up the iPhone ecosystem.  The icon itself resembles OS X Leopard's Application folder, with the 'A' made up of a paintbrush, pencil and ruler, and will be included as part of the ... continued »

Did Apple Swipe Visual Voicemail from Citrix?

by Vincent Nguyen on January 14, 2007

I’m not convinced that Apple stole this technology from Citrix. And if they did, boy oh boy, is Apple going to get it from Citrix (wink-wink). I sense a hint of we hate you Apple coming from The Register – perhaps it’s just me being a little sensitive with all the Apple bashing going around ☺. Anyways, according to The Register, they were unable to locate a ... continued »
