Even though most say the iPhone is a failure of a device and quit possibly a runner up for worst product of the year, it still continues to get noticed by top media as quite possibly the best. Consumer Reports January 2008 edition points out that the iPhone has outperformed it's smartphone competitors in many different aspects.

While the iPhone's EDGE capabilities appear to be slow, it's rendering of web pages makes up for difference in speed between EDGE and 3G. Here is a video of the iPhone on EDGE, and a Nokia E61i on 3G. You can clearly see that both of their loading bars end at around the same time, with the iPhone finishing before the E61i loading eBay. Yes, it's true, the total market share internet usage by the iPhone is a massive 0.09%. This is a stat taken out of how much the internet is used by the iPhone, and all other devices/operating systems. Compared to it's competition, it had a fairly good rating over Windows CE which brought in an impressive 0.06%, and the Sidekick with a mere 0.02%.

Straight in line with all other stores on Black Friday, Macmall will be giving up to 22% off on select Apple products including Notebooks, iMacs, Mac Pro's, Mac Mini's, and the full range of iPod's on Thursday the 22nd (Thanksgiving) and Friday the 23rd. There doesn't appear to be any discounts on iPhone's though. A sale of 22% off could mean some major savings on notebooks or other Apple computers.

Surely all of you have heard the news that Google an a bunch of other companies involved in some way with the cellular industry have combined to form the OHA or Open Handset Alliance. Let’s start with Verizon, they have been gradually losing market share ever since the release of the iPhone, and now all of the sudden they are releasing some really cool phones? Furthermore they have been in talks with Google and have even dropped their complaint regarding the 700MHz spectrum becoming open.
