This fits with the rumors of Apple looking for extra workers in the UK with iPhone enthusiasm for a special fall event.

Officials in China started an investigation into the fake Apple stores in Kunming, China. Two of the stores were closed due to the lack of a business license and the other three remain open.

A new Apple Assistant voice control system has been tipped for the iPhone 5. The system is thought to be powered by tech Apple bought or licensed from Siri and Nuance.

With the removal of several apps from the App Store in the past few days, many are wondering if Apple is truly checking out these apps before authorizing them. But even more importantly, do they have a system in place to protect iPhone users from malicious apps? It looks like the answer is yes.

It seems there is a URL the iPhone refers to every once in awhile to check and see if any apps have been “blacklisted”:

https://iphone-services.apple.com/clbl/unauthorizedApps

This will not just remove malicious apps from the App Store. It will also disable apps you’ve bought and downloaded already. This seems to be a last resort sort of function that will be reserved for only the most dire cases.

You can get movie times and reviews. It’s convenient and works great. Well, at least it did. Box Office was yanked from the App Store with no reason provided to the developer and that’s left many wondering if Apple even has developer relations reps to deal with this sort of problem.

The developer was left in the dark on Friday and he still has no idea why Box Office was removed.

If you already have Box Office on your phone, it still works. However, it remains a mystery why a free, seemingly harmless app would be removed in the first place. Security bug, perhaps?

All the focus on Friday was on the removal of the tethering app, NetShare. Maybe now that the new week has started we’ll get some answers.
