Campers won’t be the only ones sleeping at the Apple store before launch

Looks like while people will be sleeping outside the store the night before the iPhone is sold, Apple will be having sleepovers of their own. This will mark the first Apple retail sleepover.

Apple Store

Most of the stores will only have two employees slumbering inside, one manager and another regular employee. We’re not sure exactly why they are having people sleep inside the stores. Perhaps it’s just to add some fun to the whole event. Other speculate that it could be in response to security concerns. I’d love to see the idiot that breaks into an Apple store for an iPhone only to realize that they don’t actually have them yet.

Either way, the employees will sleep in the store and open up the store at 10am, close it back down at 2pm, and then open up for the launch at 6pm and stay open until midnight.

The NYC 59th st store doesn’t close— 24/7 baby in the city that never sleeps.
