Google not a threat to the iPhone according to ARM executive

by James Allan Brady on November 7, 2007

So Mr. Warren East isn’t just an ARM executive, he is the friggin’ CEO. So when this guy says he doesn’t think the OHA’s Android will have much of an effect on the iPhone, I am listening. I am especially listening since its risky business talking negatively, or too positively, about a pair of companies who both have handsets either in production, or in the works that are based on his ... continued »

by James Allan Brady on November 7, 2007

There is no word as of yet whether or not this will at all affect iPhone production or supply, but it does reek of bad news. Here’s a tip, don’t get the supply deal of a lifetime and then ruin it with some minor shady business practices. Could the next iPhone Update offer up something useful for those of us in the US? It looks like other than the TIFF exploit fix updaters might be blessed with an Apple Voice Notes application, something that has been available on hacked iPhones for a while now. The tip came from the code in iTunes 7.5 which had some sort of syncing program for a Voice Notes app, but its been ... continued »

Possible Apple Tablet concept

by James Allan Brady on November 6, 2007

Sure, it is just something some Apple fan boy came up with, but I doubt him or the other members of the Factory Joe blog are too far off. Chances are real good that we actually can expect something of this nature soon. They even supposition the idea of up to a 64GB SSD, sure, that sounds great, but right now that would push this device into the same price range ... continued »

Rumor: Greenpeace protesting at European iPhone Launch

by James Allan Brady on November 6, 2007

I thought they already lost this battle, was I wrong? Apparently as they are rumored to be planning a protest for the UK iPhone launch. I wonder how dumb they will feel protesting without a reference point for what they want. They can’t protest for the device to follow EU regulations, it already does, so basically they are protesting because the iPhone doesn’t follow their own prescribed standards. continued »
