There has certainly been no shortage of rumors around the new 3G iPhone. There have been leaked pictures, countless discussions, and an unlimited amount of fuel for the fire. Anything too substantiate these rumors sounds great right about now. Alas, a discussion on the MacTalk Forums Australia started a wave of new rumors.
The user posting the information says several Apple resellers have been briefed about the 3G iPhone. No sources were given by the poster, citing that Apple had given out different dates to each reseller, so that any leaks could be traced back to the source.
Apple Australia was contacted, and said there was no information about Australia getting the iPhone. Local resellers were contacted, and all uniformly said there was no briefing that they knew about. One post made sums it all up “I will believe it when Apple makes a solid announcement.” Apple has been absolutely silent so far, and more likely than not, that is not about to change.

I agree - if apple does something they do it in style, they do it big and announce it so everybody knows, I don’t think any of the rumour is true.

Its obvious that whatever images that they have are altered. My little sister can cut an 8 in half and make it look like a 3.
