The software will allow parents, employers, whomever is paying the bill, to set limits on just about anything the device can do that might cost money. Starting with a limit on minutes and hours when phone calls can be made.

There are a few security things in place though, primarily the fact that 911 will be available at all times regardless of restrictions, and anything done through WiFi as far as web browsing goes can’t be blocked. The user can also call the primary handset on the account at any time and ask for an increase in these limts, etc, etc.
So how does this figure into the iPhone, well first, just about everything about this service that will cost and extra $4.99 per month will work on the iPhone, second, the just about part comes in thanks to the Opera browser, due to the way it works, AT&T cannot currently block any sites from being viewed through it whether the connection is via WiFi, or not. So if you are the offspring of some untrusting control freak, but you get to pick your own phone, go with the iPhone, the same goes if your boss matches that same description.
