This is still unconfirmed detail about the iPhone’s data plan dug up The Boy Genius. Details are sketchy but this is what’s being reported: the “iPlan” offers unlimited data on EDGE network, priced between $34 and $44 and may include 2,000 or unlimited text messages. There’s no way to confirm this info until AT&T officially release details.
On another note, FedEx is supposedly delivering the iPhone shipments on Friday. The iPhone going on sale at 6PM has always been Apple’s master plan to ensure that all retailers offering the iPhone will actually have it in stock when the doors open. FedEx drivers beware; all FedEx trucks are potential targets for hijacking. Then again, you should think twice before taking on a FedEx driver because he’ll have a buddy watching his back.

$34-$44 just for data, come on AT&T, Sprint offers data much cheaper, and it’s 3G!
That’s no deal. That is their standard unlimited data offer @ 39.99.
AT&T personal plan is $44.99 for unlimited data with unlimited SMS
we’re going to pay an arm and a leg for a premium device – that’s the american way, right?
And that’s the PDA plan not the $19.99 unlimited plan…
desperate times call for desperate measures:
I wonder if you could buy the iPhone with plan and then call customer service and tell them that you’ve switched phones back to a “standard” cellphone and drop your data plan back to $19.99? They would have no idea that you’re still using the iPhone…
