AT&T’s iPhone unlimited plan, where’s the $20 unlimited SMS text message option?

Ok, I’m confused. Back when AT&T announced the $99.00 unlimited option, it was my understanding that existing and new iPhone owners have the option to pick the $99.99 unlimited voice in addition, pay $20 for 200 SMS text messaging and unlimited web/email. Then if they want unlimited text, tact an additional $20 to the plan. The grand total comes out to $140.

Looking over the existing plan I see the option of $119.99 unlimited voice, 200 SMS Text message and unlimited web/email. I don’t see the $20 option to add on the unlimited text; but instead there’s a $40.00 option. So does this mean I have to pay $119.99 + $40 = $160? I’ve contacted our AT&T PR rep. So stay tune for updates. Feel free to chime in if you can help clarify my confusion.

UPDATE (as promised, here’s the response from our PR rep):

That $40 for existing customers is for someone with a plan, and will be adding the iPhone, so the net increase is 40, but that includes the base 20 (web + 200 messages) and then an extra 20 to upgrade to unlimited messaging. Total cost for unlimited voice, data and text, 139.99.

I’ve informed ATT that there’s no mentioning of the $20 unlimited SMS texting plan – so it’s sort of confusing. Hopefully Apple will make changes to reflect the info.
