Those of you looking to extend the warranty on your precious Apple iPhone will be happy to know that you will be able to purchase an AppleCare protection plan later this month.

The AppleCare warranty to be offered will extend your warranty to a total of two years from the date of purchase and can be purchased at any time, so long as your iPhone is still covered under the One-Year Limited Warranty. If you can’t live without your iPhone while it’s off for repair, then you can pay a $29 service fee to get a “loner” until you get yours back.
We’re not sure how much Apple plans to sell the iPhone AppleCare plans for, but we do know that getting your phone repaired outside of the warranty won’t be cheap. We already knew that a battery replacement will cost you $79 plus shipping, but anything will cost you $199 if you have a 4GB model, or $249 for an 8GB phone.
Thanks to everyone that sent this in!

249 dollars for iPhone AppleCare seems pricey to me considering the fact that you pay almost the same amount for your mac.
Rishabh, $249 is not the price for AppleCare, rather that is the price you will pay to have your iPhone repaired if your warranty is expired.
We still don’t know how much AppleCare will be.
