Hi everybody. I too had many problems with the new upgrade and wished I could put it back to version 1.1.4. Well after hours of searching I put together on my site the information with step by step instructions to doing this. Hope this helps everyone out there. Below is the link.

There’s 6 bars there, not 5. An additional bar is being shown.

what are you guys talking about? The iphone has always had 5 bars to indicate signal strength. I really hope this update comes out none the less. I can’t stand the phone app lag. This really needs to be fixed asap.

By the way, if you are having REALLY bad phone lag, I’ve found that clearing your phone’s call history and deleting all voice mail messages helps quite a bit.

I can’t send or reply to e-mail from my iphone, can’t sync with microsoft outlook calendar. The 2.0 update has been a disaster for me, wish I’d never done it. 2.0.1 can’t be released fast enough and if it doesn’t fix my problems the folks over at AT&T are going to have a hard time convincing me to pay for services I no longer can use.

2.0 has 5 bars so I do not understand the “more bars” comment. Maybe the person who saw the pic has poor service and never gets to 5 bars. :) As for the shutter lag, my original pre 2.0 uprade iphone had shutter lag. I had shutter envy whenever I saw others snapping pictures at will.

I have a 3G that was delivered on 7/18 and it has the 5 bars…but it is on version 2.0 build 5A347. The model number is also different (MB702LL) if that matters.
