Yesterday Apple officially announced that the iPhone was more important than Leopard. Ok, maybe they didn't put it exactly like that. But it was close enough.

They announced that due to the June release of the iPhone, they pulled some of their key software engineers and resources from the Leopard project. This will ultimately push back the release of the latest version of OSX until October of this year.

Apple must be putting a lot of stake in the iPhone to actually take resources away from their flagship OS. I'll admit that I am a little upset that I won't be seeing it until October. But at the same time I'm excited because I know that Apple is putting everything they've got into the iPhone, and it's going to be great.

Another piece of good news for the iPhone. Apparently it has passed most of the pre-sales certification tests needed before release. June just can't come fast enough.
