Congratulations are in order! Despite hitting headlines with early-adopters angry at sudden price-cuts, class-action suits and mammoth bills, Apple announced today that they've managed to sell their 1-millionth iPhone - and it took them just 74 days to do it.

"One million iPhones in 74 days—it took almost two years to achieve this milestone with iPod. We can’t wait to get this revolutionary product into the hands of even more customers this holiday season" Steve Jobs, Apple CEO
Of course, this sets a dangerous precedent: the next key product Apple launch (an iTablet, anybody?) will have to sell in a similarly groundbreaking period of time, probably meaning they'll have to ship a million in about 85 minutes. Such is the price of success!
