Apple rejects South Park iPhone app

Despite the fact the iTunes store currently sells South Park’s television show, movie and an uncensored version, but the South Park for iPhone has been rejected by Apple.

south_parkIn a blog post on SouthParkStudios.com, the creators wrote:

We first announced our iPhone App back in October, after we submitted the Application to Apple for approval. After a couple of attempts to get the application approved, we are sad to say that our app has been rejected. According to Apple, the content was “potentially offensive.” But Apple did admit that the standards would evolve, citing that when iTunes first launched it didn’t sell any music with explicit lyrics. At this point, we are sad to say, the app is dead in the water. Sorry, South Park fans.

Again– sorry, South Park fans :-(

Sell it on Blackberry when the APP store launches or via Crackberry etc. and show Apple whose boss :)

I’m not really sure of Apple’s motivation on rejecting the particular “minimal adult oriented” apps. I can understand a ban on something that is full-on porn.

    but…

When anyone with an internet connection and Safari can go to any porn site they want to on their iPhone or iTouch – what’s the point in banning these apps? Should they ban Safari too?

    No.

So here is the funniest joke I have for ya. I realize it’s not the best, but I am bad at jokes! What’s the main difference between chopped beef and pea soup? Everyone can chop beef, but not everbody can pea soup! lol
