...embodiments with various modifications as are suited to the particular use contemplated.

Done.

kidding.

Damn let flash-crap out of here and add more codecs to quicktime, its the only way it can works. (even my core 2 duo@3GHZ still have issues with some kind of flash movies or games)

And for flash games just forget about it: if the devs dont think about iphone while making his game there is noway to play it cause of lack off traditionnal inputs.

No offense but people complain about everything apple does, makes me quite sick. flash is coming to the iphone just wait, this is almost as bad as all those whiners wanting flash on linux AND LOOK IT CAME. My favorite thing about people wanting a media rich web experience on the iphone is that no matter how much it has, as long as the connection is slow (At&t) whats the point...........

No offense - I'm desperate for flash and for greater media format compatibility on this phone - but this was basically boilerplate language. Flash is already a proprietary technology. Whether a company makes use of it has nothing to do with the patents it files. It's exceedingly rare to see Company B file a patent of any sort in preparation to work with the technology of Company A. It's even more rare to see (when it does happen) a specific reference to a pre-existing patented / protected / proprietary technology.

I appreciate that there are people out there wiling to follow this stuff so closely, but I hate how little things like this are spun out of proportion, taken out of context, etc. I applaud your choice to put the whole document in the post but your analysis and your title "hint at support for Flash" are misleading.
