So to the simple-minded like myself, what does this mean? It means they are close to an unlock for 1.1.1.

They are also working towards some sort of a solution for the numerous bricks out there. We have already reported the fact that iPhoneSIMFree already has a solution, and that it already fixes your bricked products, so if you have the dough, I’d still recommend using their product since it seems to offer fewer side effects from future firmware upgrades.

However if you don’t mind waiting, and in return saving some dough, the iPhone Dev Team should have a solution for an unlock soon. Like I said, they are also working on a fix for bricked devices, if they cant find a fix, they are at the very least going to try and offer some sort of baseband downgrader, so that you can at least go back to AT&T I assume.
