iphone sdk beta 3iPhone SDK build 9M2158a, beta 3 is now available. iPhone Atlas got word from developers that iPhones legally running the pre-release 2.0 beta software, build 5A225c, were remotely disabled by Apple and can be restored to full functionality using the new build of the device-installable OS labeled 5A240d. iPhones unlocked and “pwned” are not affected by the Apple’s remote lock down.

We’re not sure what’s included in the new release of the SDK other than what’s stated in Apple’s notes, “fixes bugs and adds support for the latest iPhone OS.”

As I stated above, the iPhone OS 2.0 5A240d is also available to authorized developers, eliminating an issue in which devices running the previous, expired OS build 5A225c were rendered non-functional.
