Earlier this morning Engadget reported that a person in the TV industry had seen several new iPhone ads submitted for future airing indicating a June 29th release date. Several posters are now claiming to have seen one of the new ads air during ‘60 Minutes’ tonight and it indeed does display the June 29th date. It seems to be a rather odd choice to go with ’60 Minutes’ to air a commercial for the iPhone, but until we see confirmation I still remain slightly skeptical.

The iPhone will go on sale on June 29th release date. The 8GB version cost $599, while the 4GB is $499 (with a 2-year contract with AT&T).
