I sure wish people would stop using company names such as 'Apple' or 'Google' as if they're plural. Apple is a company - a single entity. It should be "... Apple appears ..." and not "... Apple appear ...".
I noticed this started about a year or so ago, and at first I simply dismissed it as one person's lack of understanding of the English language. Now I see it every day and it's become really irritating.
If you want to use the plural, then simply say " ... Apple employees appear ..." or something to that effect. I hate to appear like the grammar police, but this is really getting out of hand.
