C’mon, do you really think that with teams of designers worth millions of dollars, Apple is cruising rumor sites like this and create their interface based on what responses these mockups elicit?

None of these look intrinsically Apple-y… Of course, they may need to shift their vision since a device such as this is so much more complicated than an iPod, but I don’t think they would overlay the wheel with a keypad. It just looks too busy.

Don’t you find strange that the keypad and clickwheel appeared on the same picture you had a few days ago? If you look at the song playing and remaining time, it’s exactly the same thing.

But just look at how fake the keys are…(zoomed in on the posted picture, notice the edges around the 3 and the 6…) Obviously fake… i don’t know if the original image is real or fake, but the idea is kind of nice.

Also, note the alignment of the letters to the numbers; MNO are aligned with (almost) bottom of number 6, while WXYZ are aligned with (almost) the top of number 9.

By the way, I’ve seen the very same “iFone” somewhere else on the net this morning, just without any numbers, letters or click wheel, just the blank touchpad.

might be like this on most phones, but those keys are exactly the same as lg fusic. from the shape around the 3 and 6 (which seems to have been PS’d to erase the pill shaped button), to the way the center column is staggered a little lower than the outside column
