The only thing more boring than sitting at my grandmother's house (where there is no Internet, TV or video games) is watching golf on TV. Some people really get into golf, but for me it ranks up there with dental checkups on my list of things I like to do.

If you are a fan of golf and like to keep up even when you aren’t home, Akamai Technologies has announced that it will be streaming the PGA Championships to iPhone and iPod touch users in cooperation with Turner Sports. The 91st PGA Championships will be held August 13 to 16 and there will be 18 hours of coverage on TNT.
The app for the iPhone allows variable bit rate streaming to allow users to watch at 3G, Edge, or Wi-Fi data speeds. The tech behind the streaming for the iPhone enables near HD bitrates according to Akamai.
