A new Multitouch product from Apple?

The Multitouch technology that we’re going to see in the iPhone just might be showing up in a new Apple touchscreen PC.

This rumor stems from a statement regarding the successor to the current Logic software.

“Basically the rumor is this: There will be no Logic 8. The successor to Logic 7 will have a new name. The unnamed application will be 10.5 only and will work with a new line of touch sensitive Apple displays. Also, it will be an OMG PROTOOLS KILLER!@!!” Ars Technica

Going from this statement alone, I would guess that there is definitely a full-size touchscreen in the works for Leopard. This of course is all still speculation, but I for one would love to see an Apple tablet PC.

Actually I’m hoping on a touchscreen laptop/tablet to come together with Leopard. Apple has enough experience with touch-technology I think…

IF it’s a touch screen to work in conjunction with a “protools” like app… I’m thinking a virtual customizable mixing deck and effects.

Imagine editing sound files or video files by touching a screen and sliding or pinching and expanding… a much more interactive way to edit than a scroll wheel or tapping keys.
