These people were taking advantage of an offer for all iPhone owners. 2- I really don't get people who are on Apple's side for this. Apple is a huge corporation - the net effect of this "scam" was $80,000 in Apple rebates. That's not even a rounding error on the earnings report. It will cost more $$$ for Apple to hire new people. I'm going with poster #1: I think it's an elaborate troll and didn't happen. If there's anything Steve Jobs is known for, it's for being pragmatic.
